The win was announced at the PPA’s Independent Publishing Network Conference on Friday 5 December at London’s Montcalm Hotel, and recognises the very best of British magazine publishing companies with a turnover of up to £10m. In the winning citation, the PPA commended Anthem for “amazing growth, focus on new areas and channels, strong profits (and a) team that clearly understands its niche audiences, innovating across all platforms”.
MD Jon Bickley commented, “We’re absolutely thrilled to win this award that acknowledges the great steps we’ve made in building a new food and craft business as well as effecting a digital transformation on the music side of the company. It’s a testament to the creativity and hard work of everyone who works so passionately on our fantastic brands.”

The company publishes ten consumer magazines focused in the Music, Food and Craft sectors with titles including Food Heaven, Free-From Heaven, Classic Pop and the multi-platform Music Tech.
