Jon is one of the founders and owners of Anthem. He has a 23-year background in magazine distribution and publishing including several years as a Group Publisher at Future Publishing. As well as overall direction of the company, Jon has responsibility for copy sales and the Food & Craft portfolio.
Simon is one of the founders and owners of Anthem. He has a thirty year background in media sales and publishing and has been involved in the Music Instrument industry for 15 years. Simon heads up the Music division at Anthem as well overseeing advertising across the company.
Sally has worked at Anthem Publishing since 2008 and during that time has launched all of the titles in Anthem’s food portfolio. She is currently dedicated to establishing Anthem’s newest food title, Vegan Food & Living, as well as helping to develop and expand Food Heaven and Free-From Heaven brands.
Jenny has been with Anthem since day-one and has launched or worked on pretty much every title at the company. Jenny has worked in publishing for most of her career and demonstrates incredible creativity and versatility on projects ranging from music technology to upcycling craft.
Verity has been been marketing in the publishing world for over 15 years now, starting off with physics books and now special-interest magazines. She loves the fast-paced environment and the people in the magazine industry, and is in charge of managing the overall marketing and production functions here at Anthem to make sure the magazines are promoted and get to the end reader with no hiccups. Easier said than done!.
Beth has held senior HR roles in engineering, food and construction companies providing HR management of employee relations, reward management, training and recruitment and also supporting the companies through significant events such as a takeover, large scale restructuring and organisational change programmes. Before taking a break to raise her young family, Beth was the HR Director of Carillion Regional Building, a £100m business with over 1500 employees.
Sarah has worked at Anthem Publishing since 2004, always in a commercial capacity, starting in adverting sales, launching various magazines and now she is spearheading Anthem Live as Head of events. So far Sarah has launched several successful events such as An Afternoon with Annie Sloan, Music Tech Awards, Guitar & Bass Presents Guthrie Govan and Classic Pop presents Popmaster Live! with Ken Bruce. There are many more to come both consumer and B2B events – so watch this space!
With a career spanning two decades in print and online publishing, Di joined Anthem in 2010. Her experience is in print and digital advertising, with specialist knowledge of events and customer publishing. Di is a creative thinker whose tenacity to multi-task and think outside the box is key to the continued success of everything she does.
Gemma is a self-confessed marketing geek. With 10 years marketing experience within the publishing industry under her belt her experience is really quite varried including digital, books, academic and B2B publishing, but consumer magazines is where she feels most at home. Working with such enthusiastic brands and people across a portfolio of 10 magazines keeps her super busy, but not too busy to help develop and drive Anthem’s digital marketing strategy.
